Rob Crain and Other Dallas Leaders Announce "Year of Unity"
President of the Dallas Bar Association, Rob Crain, along with many other leaders from local organizations, including the Junior League of Dallas, National Black Police Association, Today Foundation, and Dallas Independent School District are coming together for Project Unity. This is a collaborative movement led by Reverend Richie Butler who was recently honored with the 2017 Martin Luther King, Jr. Justice Award, recognizing his service to the community.
Rob Crain, an attorney at Crain Lewis Brogdon, LLP, will serve as one of Project Unity’s ambassadors in support of Pastor Butler’s vision for the “Year of Unity”. The focus of this movement will be on building and sustaining the community based on what unites us rather than on what divides us.
Following the tragic events of July 7, 2016 in Dallas when five officers were killed during an ambush, Pastor Butler felt that it was necessary to create dialogue and community building events, activities, and education to unify members of the community and heal race relations.
