Three Killed in Truck Accident in Royse City
Three people have tragically lost their lives when two semi-trucks crashed head-on in the early hours of this morning. The accident took place on the Interstate 30 in Royse City, just northeast of Dallas, when a truck traveling in the westbound lane crossed into the eastbound lane and stuck an oncoming tractor trailer near FM35. A third vehicle was also involved in the collision.
The accident caused both trucks to flip over. At least two of the victims died at the scene.
According to officials with the Texas Department of Transportation, the eastbound side of the I-30 and all but one lane of the westbound side will likely be closed until 3:00 P.M. while the wreckage is cleared and police investigate the collision. It is still unclear exactly what led to the crash.
We at Crain Lewis Brogdon, LLP extend our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the victims during this difficult time, and hope that justice can swiftly be served for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one.

Victims’ Rights after a Truck Accident
Truck accidents injure and kill thousands of people every year. Many of these accidents occur when drivers fail to abide by safety regulations designed to reduce the likelihood of a collision. Driving while fatigued, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, speeding, or other reckless behaviors all constitute negligence and make the driver, their employer, and/or a third party responsible for paying damages to victims and/or their families. Families who have lost a spouse, parent, or child in a truck accident have the legal right to seek compensation by way of a wrongful death claim.
