Texas Woman Accused of Child Sexual Assault in Houston
A 29-year-old Texas woman has been accused of having sex with two teenage boys in her backyard swimming pool in Houston. Allegedly, she invited the 16- and 14-year-old boys to take off their clothes and go for a swim before having sex with them. The woman now faces two charges of child sexual assault.
The accusations against the woman came following one of the boys telling his mother about the incident. According to authorities, the boys had been helping the woman remodel a shed behind her home, which is located in a suburb of Houston.
In addition to allegedly molesting and having sex with the teenagers, the woman is also accused of giving each of the boys alcohol. The accused woman's bail has been set at $30,000. At this time, it is unknown how this woman plans to plead against the criminal allegations, and it is unknown whether she has obtained criminal defense counsel to help her in her forthcoming court proceedings.
Child sexual assault allegations come with the serious threat of time spent in jail for those convicted of the crimes. However, just because a Texas resident has been charged with a crime does not mean that he or she is guilty of committing it, and it does not mean that he or she will be found guilty in a court of law. Indeed, no matter how serious the allegations, Texas courts will consider a defendant as innocent until -- and only if -- he or she is proved to be otherwise beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law.
